About Eric Terry

I am a licensed clinical psychologist.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Biola University.  I then received a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at the California School of Professional Psychology in Alhambra (currently, Alliant University).

I was licensed by the California Board of Psychology in March of 2001 and became a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor in December 2004.  I have had a great deal of training and supervision in play therapy as well as training in art therapy and sandtray/sandplay therapy.

At this time, I am not certified or qualified to practice biofeedback, neurofeedback, or EMDR

For my doctoral project in graduate school, I created a conflict resolution board game.  In October of 2001, that game was published by Western Psychological Services (WPS).  The game is called Peacetown: A Conflict Resolution Board Game.   It is available for purchase through this website.

The game is targeted for children 7 to 12 years old, but can be modified to work with younger and older children.  I designed the game to work in a small group setting with up to six players, but the game can also be used in individual therapy.  The game teaches and reviews basic conflict resolution skills, such as taking turns, sharing, and compromising, but then goes on to focus on more complex conflict resolution skills, such as respecting differences, communicating feelings, and attacking the problem, not the person.

I have created another therapy board game, Family Quest: A Family Therapy Board Game, which has been released and is now available for purchase.  It is a family therapy game that gives family members the opportunity to interact and get to know one another better.

There is a travel version of Family Quest available called Family Quest On The Go!.  Now, you can take the family fun of Family Quest with you anywhere!
